Digital Image equipment to help heart disease

A modern equipment that can produce digital images of the heart helps in precise diagnosis of diseases and placing of devices such as stents to overcome blocks in the blood vessels.

The 3D (three dimension) Reconstruction Software Digital Angiography Machine is capable of capturing the images of the finest vessels and anatomy of the heart while placing such devices, said a press release from G. Bakthavathsalam, Chairman of K.G. Hospital where the equipment was commissioned recently by Electricity Minister Arcot N. Veerasamy.

The equipment helped in performing complex procedures, but with low radiation dose for the patients
