Tourists to ooty have some new to cheer about. A private company has approached the district administration to operate helicopter services. The request is waiting to be cleared. This was announced by Khadi Board Minister K. Ramachandran, who was addressing the valedictory function of the two-day 9th Rose Show organised by the Department of Horticulture at the Centenary Rose Park here on Sunday.
Introducing new attractions like helicopter services is mostly likely to increase the number of tourists visiting ooty and also generate more revenues for the locals.
