National air carrier Air India today said it would launch additional flights from six cities to tap summer passenger traffic, starting from
tomorrow.
Air India will also operate a direct flight between Chennai and Coimbatore four times a week from May 17, a press release issued here said.
The national airline would provide the additional air services between Delhi and Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Patna, the release said.
The airline had earlier said it plans to jack-up capacity by 10 per cent during the summer schedule.
Air India's summer schedule starts from March 28 and continues till middle of October.
The Chennai-Coimbatore flight will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the release said.
